Installation details for ubuntu LTS 14.04.
As of now there are no binaries of VBar control flight analyzer for Linux. Linux is supported though. Ubuntu and derivates in particular, others may work, these instructions is similar but not exact for other non ubuntu based distributions.
For installation on Linux you need a python environment and python libraries used by the analyzer. Everything is included in a standard ubuntu Linux distribution. You also need git to install the analyzer from the github repository. Following this document will install the analyzer in your home directory.
Installing required libraries
First you need to install git and required python libraries for the anlyzer, open a terminal enter (cut/paste)
sudo apt-get install git pyside-tools python-pyside python-matplotlib python-pyudev python-pil
Clone Vbar control flight analyzer repository
git clone http://gitub.com/Lussarn/vcontrol-log-analyzer.git
Build UI files
Build the user interface python files from their source models.
cd vcontrol-log-analyzer
tools/buildui.linux
tools/buildui.linux
Running VBar control flight analyzer
python src/VbcAnalyzer.py
Adding desktop entry
This is optional but will give you a nice icon to start the analyzer in your desktop environment. You need to create Freedektop desktop file first
gedit ~/.local/share/applications/vbc-analyzer.desktop
Copy this into the file

When a new version is released, just git pull the vcontrol-log-analyzer directory.
